Brock Brothers Original Illustrations for Jane Austen's Novels to Auction

A selection of original drawings by the Brock Brothers of scenes from Jane Austen's novels is running in Christie's' Fine Books and Manuscripts sale which ends October 16.

The suite of 28 drawings are by Henry Mathews Brock (1875-1960) and Charles Edmund Brock (1870-1038) and were published in The Novels of Jane Austen (London, J.M. Dent & Co., 1898).

Of these, 26 are watercolors with pen and ink, and two are pen and ink designs for Pride and Prejudice. The full set consists of:
