Late Lyrics and Earlier by Thomas Hardy

First edition (Macmillan and Co., 1920), signed presentation inscription from the author to Siegfried Sassoon dated "May 24th. 1922" and Sassoon's autograph notes to rear endpaper as well as to several other pages. Sassoon held Hardy in high esteem and carried a collection of his poems with him while at the front and had dedicated The Old Huntsman to him in 1917.

Fairies and Fusiliers by Robert Graves

First edition (Heinemann, 1917), signed presentation inscription from the author to the comrade who saved his life in the trenches at the Battle of the Somme: "Lieutenant O.M. Roberts, 2nd R.W. Fus from Robert Graves. If it hadn't been for you butty this book would be unwritten. See page 63" to front free endpaper, with an additional inscription on p.63 "Dedicated to O.M. Roberts 2nd R W Fus., in grateful memory of July 20, 1916" above the title of the poem Escape. Graves' wounds were so severe that he was initially declared dead, with his obituary appearing in The Times.

First edition (Chatto & Windus, 1920), signed presentation inscription from Edith Sitwell to one of Owen's earliest biographers, Joseph Cohen: "For Joseph Cohen who protects this great poet"

First edition (Faber & Faber, 1937) of Jones' epic poem based on his his experiences while serving with the Welch Fusiliers, with signed presentation inscription from the author: "Eric Strauss from David Jones, March 23rd 1947" . Eric B. Strauss (1894-1961) was a noted British psychiatrist who treated, among others, Evelyn Waugh and Graham Greene. Suffering from shellshock for much of his life, it is very likely that Jones sought Strauss' help following his second breakdown in 1947.

Last Poems by A. E. Housman

First edition (Grant Richards Ltd, 1922), first issue, signed by the author to John C. Pearson dated "3. August 1925", original mailing label addressed to John C. Pearson, Ohio, in the author's hand, and a postcard with the author's photograph laid in. Housman's only work to include First World War poetry.
